On being twenTEEN..

Savoring my last teen year...
Two decades and two days worth of life is worth celebrating, especially when its episodes has been exponentially increasing. My life got better and better each year. Yes, they say for such a young lady I have achieved much. I’m Miss Teen Philippines and the Face of Ponds and what-have-you. Some say I’ve managed to strike the balance between being the class valedictorian, the party-girl, the stage actress, the model, and the youth ambassadress for the environment and for education. But guess what, I’m not just that. I too sometimes managed to be the hardheaded daughter, the lazy and procrastinating student, the passive citizen, even the bitchy friend and more that’s to hate. I too had a fair share of failures… a countless list of mistakes. I have suffered a broken heart. I have a tainted reputation because of gossips, misconceptions and prejudgments. I am human after all. Daily, I am faced with the temptation to take the easy way, to do the evil or to ignore goodness and truth. So, what’s my point?
I really do not know. I really just wanted to share to you this philosophy of mine that goes, “Life is how you view it and what you make of it.” It is not our successes or failures that define our life. It is our daily decisions- the big and small ones. It is how we decide. How we face the undetermined consequences of our actions. Thus, being twenteen, I am inviting you to join me in relishing the last days of my teen years starting with making the right decisions. For right decisions leads to correct actions and correct actions leads to a good life. Come on; let’s do ourselves a favor. Let’s decide wisely.
My fashion show was my starter. LViVL: Contrast Choices is about making the right decisions. In general, it is choosing between Living Virtuously or going with the seemingly cool and adventurous Villain/violent Lifestyle. But to keep it simple, the ideology is explained by the quote: “The greatest regret in life is not the wrong things that we’ve done, but the right things that we should have or could have done but never did.”
“LV is the path I choose to take. I know it makes me sound close-minded and hypocritical because I sometimes do evil deeds too. But beyond my fallen nature, I am an idealist because without ideals there is nothing to live for and to live by.”
